How to rename multiple files quickly[win7tips]

If we want to rename a file, we will just right click on file and click “rename” or Hit “F2” in your keyboard.

But what if we want to rename 1000 files at a time ?? we can’t just go & select a file & hit “F2”. So lets take a look at how to rename multiple files instantly within in a second !!

  • Take a peek at files in my drive.

  • How do i rename all these files ?? :O

  • Select all the files which you want to rename.

  • Just hit F2 in your keyboard.

  • Give some suited name as you wish.

  • Windows will automatically rename all other files in the proper order. Look below to confirm it.

  • Wow... All files renamed !!  Kewl :D

  • Pretty simple, right ?? Comes pretty handy when you work with large no. of files.
