How to set a timer to shutdown your computer

A situation may come when you want to shutdown your computer after certain hours because you maybe downloading or converting videos or whatever process, you name it.

Best solution is to set a timer to shutdown your computer without using any applications !!

Learn the Secret below.

  • -> Open Command Prompt. ( Learn Quickest & easiest way to open command prompt here )
  • -> Now Type “Shutdown -s -t 14400” ( without quotes ) here 14400 is seconds. After 14400 seconds(4 hours), computer will shutdown.

  • -> As you can see, that computer will shutdown in 240 mins(4hrs). That’s it.
  • ->Now, suddenly you don’t want the computer to shutdown. Fine, just open RUN dialog box, type shutdown -a & press Enter. Then timer will be cancelled.
